School Occupational Therapist - Monterey, California

This full-time position offers 30 hours per week at a single site in Moss Landing, working directly with children to support their development and growth as a School-Based Occupational Therapist.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for California
• Experience providing OT services in school settings, particularly with elementary and preschool-aged students
• Strong understanding of pediatric practice in educational environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to independently manage caseload and documentation requirements
• Commitment to professional ethics and best practices in school-based occupational therapy
• Only licensed OTs considered (no COTA)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students aged PreK to elementary
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams
• Support students’ participation in classroom and school activities by addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
• Generate progress reports and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Provide guidance to educators and caregivers in adapting activities and environments for student success
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
