A dedicated contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference in a school-based setting near Ypsilanti, MI. This full-time, flexible position spans the entire school year, beginning September 1st. Enjoy a dynamic caseload ranging from preschool through high school, with an emphasis on elementary-aged students—including those in both cross-categorical settings and general education classrooms with IEPs.
Additionally, you’ll be providing essential support in two specialized ACT 18 ASD Elementary classrooms, collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Expertise in pediatric, healthcare, and school settings preferred
- Knowledge of cross-categorical and ASD educational strategies
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy services tailored to student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with interdisciplinary teams
- Serve elementary, preschool, and secondary students, focusing on areas with the greatest need
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school atmosphere
- Deliver all services onsite as part of the in-person school community
