This School Aide role involves working directly with students under teacher supervision, helping them with assignments, reinforcing instructions, and contributing to a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
  • \n
  • Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
  • \n
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
  • \n
  • Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
  • \n
  • Provide support for students in crisis
  • \n
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed
  • \n
  • Behavior management and de-escalation support
  • \n
  • Celebrate the students you’re working with
  • \n
  • Support students with elements of personal care (feeding, toileting, etc.)
  • \n

Required Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • \n
  • 1+ years experience in childcare/education
  • \n
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • \n
  • US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
  • \n
\n

Physical Requirements:

\n
    \n
  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
  • \n
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
  • \n
  • Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process
  • \n
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience working in special education classroom
  • \n
  • Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
  • \n
  • Crisis prevention (CPI) training
  • \n
  • CPR certification
  • \n
\n

Salary
\n Pay: $18 per hour, paid weekly.
\n Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
