Occupational Therapist School Setting in Tacoma, WA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across K-12 levels as an Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community near Tacoma, WA. In this full-time role (37.5 hours per week), you’ll collaborate with educators and staff across 4-5 school sites, delivering specialized support to help students succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Valid state licensure for Occupational Therapy
• Experience or strong interest working with K-12 students in a school-based setting
• Effective communication and strong collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school locations
• Current knowledge of best practices and relevant regulations in school OT services

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based strategies
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation required by school and district guidelines
• Provide staff and parent training on adaptive strategies and accommodations
• Travel between assigned schools as needed to ensure continuity of care
