Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a full-time Occupational Therapist working with children from birth to five years old. In this onsite, contract position, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with educational teams and families, helping provide vital early intervention services that set the foundation for lifelong learning and growth.
Key Qualifications:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience working in school or early childhood settings preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and pediatric therapy techniques
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess motor, sensory, and daily living needs of children ages birth to five
- Develop individualized intervention plans to support developmental progress
- Provide direct therapy services within a school-based setting
- Collaborate with teachers, family members, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as required
- Educate parents and staff on strategies that support student participation and independence
