Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Georgia LPN license
• Experience working in school or pediatric settings required
• Skilled in supporting children with medical complexities, including tracheostomy care and gastrostomy (feed tube) management
• Comfortable assisting students who use wheelchairs
• Willingness and ability to ride the school bus as needed to provide hands-on care and safety
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with lead nurse and school personnel
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care for students onsite, including medication administration, trach and tube feed monitoring, and basic first aid
• Support a wheelchair-using, medically fragile student as a primary responsibility
• Ride the school bus (to/from school) to ensure consistent care for assigned students
• Step in seamlessly during a nurse’s leave of absence, maintaining continuity of care
• Accurately document all care provided in alignment with school policies
• Coordinate with lead nurse and school staff regarding health plans, emergency procedures, and updates
