Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role runs from September 4th through June 25th, providing essential services to a vibrant caseload within an engaging school environment near Paterson, NJ. The workday extends from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
Your expertise will directly impact student growth, helping children develop their communication abilities for academic and social success. This position is based at the Park Avenue School and involves working closely with dedicated educational teams.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Current New Jersey SLP license (CCC required)
- Previous school-based SLP experience is essential
- Proficient in conducting assessments, evaluations, and providing targeted speech/language services
- Comfortable acclimating to district protocols and collaborating with school staff
- Ability to manage a dynamic elementary caseload efficiently
- Reliable transportation and commitment to consistent attendance
- Willingness to undergo TB testing, physical exam, and fingerprinting for onboarding
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Administer evaluations and assessments as required
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services rendered
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams
- Contribute to a supportive educational setting focused on student achievement
Candidates seeking Clinical Fellowship (CF) or SLPA placement will not be considered due to limited supervision availability.
