Multiple full-time opportunities are now available for passionate, skilled Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Each role is on-site and offers a chance to support one school community, collaborating with dynamic teams and impacting students with a variety of needs.
Open assignments include:
- Mild/Moderate Learning Specialist roles at elementary schools, providing targeted academic and behavioral support within inclusive settings.
- Affective Needs positions working with students with more significant emotional and behavioral disabilities — leading a small team and drawing on skills in de-escalation, ABA, FBA/BIP, and autism interventions.
- Structured Learning Services for students with severe cognitive and behavioral disabilities, overseeing a self-contained classroom and collaborating closely with service providers (speech, OT, psychology).
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
- Experience supporting students with mild to severe disabilities and differentiating instruction
- Familiarity with CPI, ABA, Denver Model, FBA/BIP development (required for more intensive needs classrooms)
- Prior work with autism and behavior strategies strongly valued
- Effective communication, adaptability, and ability to motivate paraprofessional teams
- Ability to fulfill all district documentation and credentialing requirements promptly
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and individualized education plan (IEP) implementation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Manage behavioral interventions and positive supports
- Document student progress and maintain compliance standards
- Lead or support paraprofessionals as appropriate to the assignment
