Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist experienced in hospital inpatient settings to support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This 13-week contract opportunity requires a detailed-oriented professional to ensure accurate medication dispensing and patient safety within the hospital pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications for inpatient hospital patients
- Review and verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient medication therapy
- Monitor drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy
- Knowledge of medication dispensing in a hospital setting
- Strong understanding of patient safety and pharmacy regulations
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
