Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 8-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support long-term care pharmacy services in Eden Prairie, MN. This role requires a flexible schedule including shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with rotating weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and dispense prescription medications accurately.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns.
  • Ensure all medication supplies comply with legal regulations.
  • Verify appropriateness and suitability of prescribed medications.
  • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with precision.
  • Provide counseling to patients regarding medication use, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.
  • Conduct patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring.
  • Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications for internal or external use and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and interns to resolve drug-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Pharmacist license required.
  • Retail pharmacists willing to train and adapt to long-term care pharmacy setting will be considered.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends.
