School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Montclair, New Jersey

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license valid in the state of New Jersey
• Experience in school settings strongly preferred
• NJ school nurse credentials are a plus
• Comfortable providing coverage across different areas, including riding buses for field trips and staffing the front office as needed
• Confident managing diabetes care, daily medication administration, seizures, and general health precautions for a diverse student population
• Facility serving PreK-12th grade—adapting care to varying age groups is key
• References must be completed (no interview required)

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality health services and daily medical care for students and staff across multiple school buildings
• Monitor and respond to chronic and acute medical needs, including diabetes treatment and seizure intervention
• Accompany students on field trips to ensure their safety and well-being
• Keep clear and accurate health records in compliance with all regulations
• Communicate effectively with faculty, parents, and administration regarding student health plans and emergency preparedness
• Cover the front office as needed, providing additional support to the school community
