Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting elementary students as an onsite speech-language pathologist in a K-5 setting. This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year from late August to mid-June, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact each school day. Your work will focus on providing direct speech services and collaborating with educators and families to help students succeed socially and academically.
Your week will follow a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 3:25 pm, working closely with a caseload that begins at approximately 40–45 students and may grow up to 60 with incoming evaluations. Your expertise will be valued as you provide crucial communication support and become an integral member of the educational team.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure/certification as required for school-based SLPs
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress tracking
- Passion for working with elementary-aged students
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-3rd grade students
- Consult with teachers and support staff on interventions and accommodations
- Attend IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and parents to develop student goals
- Complete evaluations for newly referred and returning students
- Take on responsibilities as a MET team member and serve as a case manager
- Maintain precise service delivery logs and ongoing documentation
