\nOverview:
\nWe are high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care along Post Women's Surgical unit.
\nWithin our unit we have:
\n- \n
- 40-MB rooms \n
- 15-LDR rooms \n
- 14-High Risk Antepartum \n
- 8-bed OBED unit \n
- 4-LIBC Birthing Suites \n
- 4-Pre Post Rooms 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases \n
Within our unit we also have full-time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family's Women's Center.
\nNurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.
\nQualifications:
\n- \n
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program \n
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. \n
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties \n
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe. \n
