Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students in grades 3–5 as a contract school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role is focused in an intermediate building, offering a unique chance to work closely with a caseload of about 25 students, primarily delivering consultation services and some direct therapy targeting fine motor and sensory needs.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapy license for the state
  • Previous school-based OT experience, particularly at the elementary or intermediate level, preferred
  • Strong understanding of supporting fine motor and sensory integration in educational environments
  • Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt and creatively address a variety of needs in a consultative capacity

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide occupational therapy consultative services to classroom staff and teachers for identified students
  • Deliver direct therapy for fine motor and sensory support needs as prescribed by the IEP team
  • Develop, implement, and monitor student progress on individualized intervention plans
  • Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress notes, and collaboration efforts
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision making
  • Offer resources and strategies to enhance student participation and success in the classroom

This contract role is part-time, with a flexible schedule across 2–3 days per week, either as two full days or spread out over shorter blocks, between 8:05 am and 2:45 pm. The assignment spans the school year, from early September to mid-June.
