You’ll work with enthusiastic early elementary students, designing and delivering engaging music lessons tailored to their developmental levels. The focus is on creative, hands-on instruction that makes music accessible, enjoyable, and educational for every child.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field required
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
• Solid background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom instruction
• Excellent communication skills to connect with both young learners and colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach music classes for K-2 students onsite, adapting methods to suit various learning styles and abilities
• Develop a nurturing classroom environment where creativity and self-expression are encouraged
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to coordinate curriculum and integrate music with broader learning objectives
• Assess and report on student progress, providing feedback to parents and school staff as needed
• Participate in school events, performances, and professional development activities
