Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a 9-week contract position based in Liberty Lake, WA. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by managing the dispensing and monitoring of medications in a fast-paced environment. The position supports both PV1 and PV2 duties with a focus on ensuring medication safety and regulatory compliance.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, day and evening shifts
- Possible weekend rotations
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of overuse
- Ensure medicine supply complies with legal requirements
- Verify the suitability of prescribed medications for patients
- Maintain confidential, accurate patient records and pharmacy files
- Provide medication counseling, including usage instructions, side effects, and drug interactions
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on using medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
- Compound medications for internal and external use following sterile preparation procedures
- Supervise pharmacy support staff including technicians and clerks
- Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and communicate drug-related problems
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State pharmacist license in-hand
- Retail pharmacy experience welcomed; training available for retail pharmacists transitioning to this role
