This contract position offers the chance to work with dedicated students in both preschool and middle school settings, providing vital support during a Leave of Absence. Role Details:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, ensuring consistency and impact throughout the school week
  • Assignments at both a preschool and a middle school campus
  • Supporting students ranging from early childhood through adolescence on speech and language development goals
  • On-site role, fostering strong connections with students, staff, and families

Desired Background and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active California SLP license required
  • Previous experience in school settings, particularly with preschool or middle school populations, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with educators and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability, especially as assignment start dates are project-based and may be adjusted
  • Commitment to professional standards and delivering comprehensive therapy services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small-group speech/language therapy to students, adapting techniques to meet diverse needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop IEP goals in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in annual reviews or eligibility meetings
  • Educate and consult with teachers and families for carryover of strategies in classrooms and at home
