ESL Teacher in Zion, IL

Step into a dynamic Pre K classroom environment as a dual language educator, nurturing the academic and language growth of young learners. This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated teacher with both general education and ESL skills, ready to make an impact onsite from August 17 through May 27, 2027.

In this full-time position, you'll be the guiding force for PreK students, building a foundation that will support their continued success in language acquisition and academic achievement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with required endorsements
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, and instruction
• Fluent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with young English language learners, particularly at the PreK-2 levels, is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction for PreK students in a dual-language classroom setting
• Develop and implement ESL strategies tailored to young learners’ needs
• Facilitate both small group and whole-class learning activities that foster language and social development
• Collaborate effectively with other educators, staff, and families to create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments

This is an onsite position only; virtual or remote work is not available.
