Psychiatry, Psychiatry - Psychiatrist - Outpatient - Physician - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking to recruit a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly regarded, long-standing Behavioral Health team at St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY. Our comprehensive Behavioral Health department includes a hospital-based CPEP unit, 30-bed acute inpatient unit, outpatient practice locations, residential services program, and personalized recovery-oriented services.

Position Details:

\n
• Provide outpatient care to adult patients with psychiatric disorders including mood, thought, psychotic, personality, substance-related, and more.
\n
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans, utilizing both traditional and contemporary methods
\n
• Integrate treatment methods inclusive of individual psychotherapy, group, family, and behavior therapy with medication therapy and management
\n
• Participate in timely evaluation appointments with patients referred by St. Joseph’s In-patient and Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program teams
\n
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Professional Mental Health APPs, social workers, and case managers along with skilled nurses and paraprofessionals

Requirements:

\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• New York State licensure and DEA (or eligibility) required
\n
• Open to new and recent graduates

Recruitment Package:

\n
• Base Salary Range: $270,000 to $335,000
\n
• Eligible for premium pay compensation and extra service compensation
\n
• Starting & Retention Bonuses

• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
