St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife Supervisor to join our outstanding OB/GYN team in Syracuse, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to a team of full-scope midwives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment alongside OB/GYN physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, diabetic educators, and ancillary staff.

St. Joseph’s Health OB/GYN program delivers approximately 1,700 babies annually, with our midwifery team and PCC OB/GYN practices accounting for approximately 750 births each year. Midwives provide comprehensive care to low- and moderate-risk obstetric patients, including prenatal care, labor and delivery management, postpartum care, and gynecologic services within their scope of practice.

Position Details:

  • Supervise a team of full-scope midwives caring for low- and moderate-risk obstetric patients
  • \n
  • Deliver gynecologic services including wellness exams, contraceptive counseling, and family planning
  • \n
  • Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • \n
  • Manage patient care throughout the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum continuum
  • \n
  • Perform FERN testing
  • \n
  • Opportunity to first-assist in C-sections (RNFA certification required)
  • \n
  • Circumcisions are optional but preferred
  • \n

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
  • \n
  • Current New York State license required
  • \n
  • DEA certification required
  • \n
  • BLS certification required
  • \n
  • NRP certification required
  • \n
  • EFM-C certification required
  • \n
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • \n

Compensation:

    \n
  • Competitive salary range of $139,307 - $150,583 annually
  • \n
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, quality incentives, extra shift incentives, or other forms of compensation as applicable
