You’ll serve as a trusted specialist, collaborating with educators and families to address students’ learning and mental health needs. Beyond traditional assessment responsibilities, this opportunity emphasizes meaningful building-level engagement, student advocacy, and proactive mental health support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Michigan School Psychologist Certification required (candidates willing to obtain MI licensure prior to start are welcome)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessment and intervention
  • Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering positive school climates and inclusive practices

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students and interpret results for educational planning
  • Participate in developing and implementing intervention and support plans, tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate closely with building staff, administrators, and families to promote students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional success
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives related to mental health, wellness, and crisis intervention
  • Serve as a resource to educators on strategies to support at-risk students and diverse learners
  • Assist with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), IEP meetings, and other collaborative functions
  • Rotate onsite among 1–2 assigned buildings within a close-knit district

This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity spanning 37.5 hours per week with positions available beginning August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027. The assignment offers a meaningful chance to shape positive outcomes for children at both elementary and secondary levels.
