ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in Federal Way, Washington. This position offers the opportunity to support students across K-12 grade levels while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student independence and success. The selected Occupational Therapist will provide services across multiple school campuses and play an important role in helping students develop the functional skills needed to participate fully in their educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services for students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
- Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-regulation, and functional school-based activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and student planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records.
- Provide occupational therapy services across 4-5 school sites within the district.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to best support student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active Washington Occupational Therapist license required.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required.
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Appropriate school-based credentials, if applicable.
- Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Experience supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school populations beneficial.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, evaluations, and educational collaboration preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to effectively manage services across multiple school locations.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy practices in an educational setting.
- Student-centered approach with a commitment to supporting independence and academic success.

Work Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload:
K-12 student population across 4-5 school sites.
