Job Description
A retail pharmacy located in Pine Grove, PA is seeking a licensed pharmacist for an immediate per diem opportunity. This temporary role offers an engaging environment supporting approximately 150–200 prescriptions daily using the PioneerRx pharmacy system. You will have pharmacy technician support and the opportunity to provide quality patient care as part of a dynamic team.
Location: Pine Grove, PA
Position Type: Per Diem / Temporary / PRN
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Duration: Several weeks with potential for ongoing coverage
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Prescription Volume: 150–200 prescriptions per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and accurately dispense prescriptions following all regulations
- Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and manage daily workflow efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and standards
- Deliver professional, friendly customer service to patients
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
- Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system is preferred
- Dependable and ready to start immediately due to urgent need
