Empower K-12 students by serving as a dedicated Social Worker/Counselor supporting Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) within dynamic school communities for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this contract role, you’ll play a vital part in fostering positive learning environments and driving student success—working alongside collaborative teams from August 17th to June 11th, 35 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution
  • Current, full Michigan licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW) or Counselor (LPC)
  • Limited License holders (LLMSW/LLPC) considered, with expectation of pursuing full licensure
  • Experience in a public school or related agency strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with collaborative team processes and data-driven decision making
  • Comfortable working onsite and supporting students across K-12 grade levels
  • Ability to provide official university transcripts
  • LARA license and MDE SW Approval required prior to assignment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Guide building teams and administrators on data collection and intervention decisions
  • Design and implement tiered intervention strategies, consulting with educators
  • Manage and track case information for students and families with multifaceted needs
  • Participate in support team, MTSS meetings, and parent conferences
  • Employ research-based, data-driven approaches in all interventions
  • Serve as a liaison for families, helping them engage with their child's education
  • Deliver individual and group services for identified students
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting according to district policy
  • Coordinate and connect services to ensure comprehensive student support
