Job Description
Exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting young learners! This contract role is situated in an intermediate school environment, working with students in grades 3-5, and focuses on providing essential consultative and direct services. Enjoy a schedule that offers work-life balance—choose between two full days or spread your hours across three days per week, between 8:05 am and 2:45 pm.
You’ll have the chance to start at the beginning of the school year, from September 8, 2026, through June 16, 2027, making a meaningful impact over the academic year.
What you’ll bring:
- Active OT license and credentials meeting state requirements for school-based practice
- Experience supporting school-aged children, ideally within grades 3-5
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators, families, and support teams
- Strong skills in fine motor and sensory strategies for elementary students
- Proficiency in documentation and IEP/504 processes
- Organized, flexible, and passionate about consultative OT services
Your primary responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative occupational therapy services for approximately 25 students
- Provide some direct support to students, focusing on fine motor and sensory needs
- Develop and update individual student plans in alignment with school-based therapy goals
- Collaborate with teaching staff, special education teams, and parents to ensure cohesive support
- Participate in meetings, and provide resources or strategies for teachers working with students
- Maintain comprehensive records and progress documentation
