A rewarding contract opportunity is open for a passionate Occupational Therapist ready to make an impact in an Early Childhood setting near Cicero, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position (either .4 or .6 FTE, equating to 2 or 3 days per week) is ideal for those seeking a dynamic role in special education and early intervention.

In this setting, you will collaborate with a dedicated team, supporting children’s growth and independence within the Winnetka Preschool Consortium. Your expertise will be valued in helping young learners achieve developmental milestones and greater participation in school life.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Illinois state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility)
  • Proven experience in a school-based setting; early childhood and special education backgrounds are especially welcome
  • Ability to travel between various sites within the Preschool Consortium
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to early childhood students per IEP requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the IEP development process
  • Assess and report on students’ functional, motor, and sensory development
  • Develop targeted intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and support staff
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Share OT expertise through training and consultation with school staff
