Job Description
Step into a meaningful role providing speech-language pathology services to young learners in an early childhood educational setting. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting children ages 3–5 in an ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) caseload. The assignment spans the 2026–2027 academic year, running from late August through early June, with a full-time Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for the state of Minnesota
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Proven experience delivering speech services in a school-based environment, particularly with early childhood or preschool-aged children
- Strong understanding of early elementary development and special education practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting assessments, screenings, and evaluations for young students aged 3–5
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to early childhood needs
- Providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in classroom and small group settings
- Collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and related service staff to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to IEP meetings as required by district guidelines
- Engaging in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as needed
