Qualifications:

  • Active New Mexico state SLP license
  • NMPED Teacher Certification required
  • Open to both Clinical Fellows (CFs) and experienced SLPs (CCCs)
  • Understanding of school-based speech-language pathology, particularly in social communication
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with social communication needs
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to tailor plans and strategies supporting students’ social and academic development
  • Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state requirements
  • Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the broader educational framework
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to shape individual education plans
