Pharmacist in Charge in Plano, TX

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a Pharmacist in Charge for a part-time, 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible, ideally by August 12. The role is based in Irving, Texas, and offers flexible 1st shift hours, with potential to accommodate day or mid-shift schedules, averaging about 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions from a high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy environment processing between 1,000 to 1,500 prescriptions daily. You will also handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices, providing medication-related support. The pharmacy uses DRx software, so familiarity with this system is beneficial.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Alabama and Texas (required)
• Licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, or Oklahoma are highly valued
• Additional licensure in states such as Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, or Nebraska is a plus
• Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers
• Proficiency with pharmacy verification procedures and pharmacy management software (DRx preferred)
