Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Morganton, NC

This full-time, contract opportunity is set for the 2026–2027 academic year, running from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours weekly. Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
• Experience working in school settings and/or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong preference for candidates holding an active North Carolina SLP license
• Knowledge of best practices in school-based and healthcare-related speech-language services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to dynamic educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders for assigned caseload
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, adapting strategies for a variety of needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school district and state guidelines
• Consult with teachers, families, and other staff to support student growth
• Participate in annual reviews, team meetings, and professional development as needed
