School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Spencer, Indiana
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist where you’ll support students in their academic and personal growth. In this contract-to-hire role, you’ll have the opportunity to serve school-aged children using your expertise to deliver specialized therapy—whether in-person or via teletherapy.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs
- Leading therapy sessions to address students’ specific speech and language objectives
- Regularly documenting progress and outcomes in alignment with school requirements
- Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to craft holistic interventions
- Educating and empowering families to reinforce therapy strategies at home
- Contributing to IEP meetings and providing expert recommendations as needed
Qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience within pediatric or school-based settings highly valued
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate both autonomously and in a collaborative environment
- Compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
