Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with school-aged children, including assessment, goal setting, and intervention
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to manage a caseload and complete necessary documentation timely and thoroughly

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students’ needs
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals tailored to student abilities
  • Implement evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services within the school setting
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
  • Provide support and resources to classroom teachers and families to promote generalization of skills
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
  • Stay current on practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development
