School Psychologist - Maple Grove, Minnesota
Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth and well-being in a dynamic school environment near Maple Grove, MN! This contract opportunity seeks a skilled School Psychologist to make a positive impact by collaborating with educators, students, and families. The assignment is scheduled to begin around August 25, 2026, and is expected to conclude on June 10, 2027. Work onsite approximately 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, at a specific school site (to be determined) in Anoka, MN. The district is primarily seeking a School Psychologist but will also consider experienced School Social Workers for this position.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School Psychologist license (required for consideration)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or relevant field
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to create trusting relationships with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset
- Up-to-date resume for prompt review
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Support development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Collaborate with special education teams to address students’ academic and behavioral needs
- Offer direct counseling and intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ success
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records
