Retail Pharmacy Manager - Ogdensburg, NY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Pharmacy Manager role is available in Ogdensburg, NY, offering an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting. This contract position includes the potential for permanent placement and requires immediate availability for interviews.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations.
• Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and financial goals.
• Lead and develop pharmacy support staff, overseeing performance and training.
• Participate in business development and community outreach activities.
• Provide patient counseling on medications, dosages, interactions, side effects, and wellness programs such as immunization and medication therapy management.
• Maintain pharmacy facilities and ensure quality improvement initiatives are implemented.
• Complete required continuing education and other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Previous experience managing a pharmacy preferred.
