Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic radiology department within a renowned teaching hospital serving a high-acuity patient population, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Radiology Technologist seeking to expand their trauma and acute care experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week contract, 36 hours/week
  • 12-hour night shifts: Friday–Sunday, 6:30 pm – 7:00 am
  • No on-call or call back required
  • Fixed weekend schedule; no rotations to weekday shifts
  • Holiday shifts only if scheduled day aligns

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ acute care experience, with trauma exposure at Level I, II, or III facilities
  • BLS and ARRT-R certifications required
  • Strong general X-ray skills: head, spine, chest, abdomen, extremities, and trauma imaging
  • OR imaging proficiency including ortho, neuro, peds, and C-arm use (O-arm preferred)
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable precepting students based on experience
  • Open to first-time travelers with required trauma experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiologic exams across ED, OR, main radiology, and portable/bedside settings
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, residents, lead techs, and supervisors
  • Deliver imaging for high-volume (350–400/day) patient throughput
  • Maintain high clinical and safety standards for both adult and pediatric populations
  • Adapt to rapid response and high-acuity situations common in a Level I center
