Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in the Fontana area. Two roles are open: one full-time for the full school year, and one full-time maternity leave coverage projected from August through March. Provide critical occupational therapy services to students ages 3-22 with a variety of disabilities, making a true difference with every interaction.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active California Occupational Therapist license required
  • Previous experience in California school settings is essential
  • Proficiency with the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for students aged 3-22 with multiple disabilities
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret assessment data, address parental concerns, and support recommendations for services
  • Comfortable working independently in the field, often with minimal onsite district support
  • Demonstrated ability to manage fluctuating caseloads and independently create a schedule based on evolving district needs
  • Familiarity with itinerant assignments preferred; flexibility to travel across sites as needed
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers highly valued, though not mandatory
  • Experience working with mild to severe caseloads across K-12 settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and consultations, including administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for students with varying needs
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students’ progress
  • Document interventions, progress, and recommendations with clarity and timeliness
  • Organize and prioritize a dynamic caseload, adapting as needs arise throughout the academic year
