Make a difference in a vibrant school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students, primarily working with the STARS program. This full-time, contract position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm (including a 30-minute lunch). Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Illinois SLP license and certifications required
  • SLP-CCC credential preferred
  • Previous experience in school-based settings highly valued
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 40 elementary students
  • Knowledge or experience supporting students with special needs, especially in intensive intervention programs (such as STARS)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for all students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to a diverse elementary caseload
  • Provide services primarily to students enrolled in the STARS program
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Maintain accurate therapy logs and documentation in compliance with school guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
  • Foster student growth, communication, and confidence through creative and evidence-based practices
