Job Description
Make a lasting difference in students’ lives as a school psychologist working in a welcoming PreK-8 district located near Naperville, IL. This full-time, onsite contract position offers you the chance to provide meaningful support to students across all grade levels throughout the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff, delivering expertise and compassion to address the unique needs of each student.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Previous experience as a school psychologist or within educational settings
- Comfort and flexibility to serve any grade level (PreK-8)
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication, assessment, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to supporting diverse learning and social-emotional needs
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement intervention strategies
- Support the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other educational plans
- Deliver crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with all regulations
Contract runs from August 11, 2026, through May 24, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week. Caseload and grade levels will be determined upon placement, so adaptability and a student-centered approach are essential.
