Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to join their team for a part-time 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible. The role is located in Irving, Texas, with a flexible schedule on the 1st shift, including day or mid shifts based on availability. This position requires holding an active Texas or Alabama pharmacist license, with a start date of August 12 preferred.
Location: Irving, Texas
Schedule:
- Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
- 1st shift, flexible between day or mid-shift hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices concerning medication inquiries
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in Texas or Alabama (required)
- Additional licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, or Oklahoma are also accepted
- Licenses in Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, or Nebraska are considered advantageous
- Experience working with high-volume prescription processing (1,000 – 1,500 scripts per day)
- Proficiency with DRx pharmacy software preferred
