This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to enrich the lives and educational experiences of children and young adults from Pre-K through transition age. As a leader in vision-related services, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team while mentoring and coaching colleagues, supporting best practices, and advocating for the resources everyone needs to succeed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with appropriate visual impairment endorsement
  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of school-based experience working with students who are visually impaired
  • Fingerprinting required for credentialing
  • Passion for mentoring, coaching, and supporting both new and returning staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills, advocacy, and a collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to travel between multiple school sites to meet the needs of your caseload

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative vision services to students ages Pre-K through transition
  • Support families, staff, and schools to facilitate student access to the curriculum
  • Provide mentoring, training, and ongoing professional development for vision services staff
  • Serve as a key advocate and problem solver for students and staff
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership to continually improve department practices
  • Help set standards for excellence in vision educational services district-wide
