Job Purpose:
\n The RN will assist the Director of Nursing and Nurse Supervisor in developing plans and achieving that
\n total patient care is adhered to each and every resident in the unit. Specifically, the RN will handle the
\n processing of all medicine and treatment related administrative activities within the agreed timeline and
\n standards established by the facility.

\n

Specific Responsibilities:
\n - Picks up Doctors orders and ensure timely delivery of medicine supplies to the unit.
\n - Ensures that resident vital signs are thoroughly monitored and reported specially any
\n significant changes are shared immediately with the medical team.
\n - Ensures that all residents are comfortable and all needs are taken cared of.
\n - Handles all communication in writing or over the phone or face to face inquiries from
\n residents’ family members, medical team and administrative staff.
\n - Coordinates all outside appointments of residents e.g. laboratory, rehab appointments, etc.
\n - Oversees the nursing activities of LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants in the unit. Ensures
\n that all Residents’ activities of daily living are adhered to by the staff.
\n - Educates family members if necessary on the proper care of the resident.
\n - Handles all wound treatment needs, monitoring and reporting and proper treatment of
\n pressure ulcers, etc.
\n - Ensures all medical records of residents are thorough and complete.
\n - Handles medication administration and treatment procedures are adhered to in a timely
\n manner and within the established nursing protocols.
\n - Provides feedback in a timely manner to the Director of Nursing and Supervisors on
\n resident’s condition in order to ensure proper treatment of condition.
\n - Ensures proper inventory level of supplies in the unit as well as report on any matters that
\n will need the attention of maintenance personnel to ensure the resident’s comfort.
\n - Ensures timely updating of all patients’ medical records and documentations.

**Pay rate of $50 per hour Positions available for part-time, night-shift (7 pm-7 am), 2 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next week, every other weekend required.
