Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a contract Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school environment. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, allowing for a balanced schedule and meaningful engagement with students and colleagues. You’ll work closely with an elementary caseload, focusing primarily on our STARS students, providing your expertise to a group of approximately 40 students.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license and relevant certifications required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • School-based experience preferred, especially with elementary-aged children
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to tailor therapy and interventions to diverse student needs
  • Passion for empowering students with speech and language challenges

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for caseload
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy to STARS students and collaborating staff
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
