Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Long Term Care Contract Pharmacist role based in Kittanning, PA, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The position spans a 1-month assignment with the possibility of extension, and 8-week contracts will also be considered.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities include validating medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients. You will review blister-packed medications and both sterile and non-sterile preparations, respond to clinical inquiries from nursing staff and physicians, manage controlled substance inventories with accurate documentation, and check emergency medication boxes.

The role utilizes pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC for daily operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • Active license as a Registered Pharmacist in Pennsylvania, with good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacist; Long Term Care experience is preferred
  • Physical capabilities include sitting and standing for extended periods, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds
