An exciting opportunity is available for a contract Special Education Teacher to make a difference in a middle school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite role offers the chance to support students with a range of disabilities in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment located near Kelso, WA.

Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Ability to support students with various disabilities and implement differentiated strategies
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other educators and support staff
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to middle school students with disabilities, adhering to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Develop lesson plans and adjust curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school counselors, and related service providers
- Communicate progress regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Create a supportive and positive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional well-being of each student
This full-time position spans from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, covering 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day. Interviews are set to begin promptly, with a preference for in-person meetings, but virtual interviews via Zoom are also an option.
