Ignite your passion for pediatric care by supporting students in a dynamic school environment near New Castle, DE! This rewarding contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to enrich the learning experiences of both elementary-aged children and the youngest learners at an Early Learning Center.
As an integral school-based therapist, you will play a critical role in addressing students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs. Initially, you’ll split your week between an elementary school and the ELC, offering comprehensive coverage during a maternity leave. Following this period, you will continue making a difference full-time at the ELC, fostering development and independence for early childhood populations. This is an onsite-only role designed for a licensed OT; COTAs are not eligible.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly valued
- Proficiency in conducting individualized evaluations and delivering direct intervention
- Skilled in working with both elementary-age students and early learners
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with educators, families, and teams
- Comfortable adapting to diverse student needs in classroom and therapy settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services and evaluations for students across two sites
- Collaborate with educators to create supportive, inclusive classroom strategies
- Maintain detailed assessment and intervention documentation
- Design and implement individualized therapeutic activities and modifications
- Offer recommendations to enhance students’ participation and functional skills
