Retail Pharmacist - Cooperstown, New York

A well-established retail pharmacy in Oneonta, NY is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations and support patient-centered care. This professional role offers the opportunity to manage a full-service pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while contributing to business growth and community health initiatives.

Location:

• Oneonta, NY

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee pharmacy operations including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
• Lead and train pharmacy staff, ensuring job performance and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
• Participate in business development activities within the store and the wider community.
• Deliver patient services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Provide expert counseling on drug use, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient therapy progress.
• Maintain quality improvement programs focusing on patient safety.
• Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required training and maintain organized workstations and clean facilities.
• Complete continuing education as mandated by state law.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in New York State (Required)
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines (Required)
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager (Preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
