An exciting opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist seeking a dynamic part-time role supporting K-8th grade students across multiple campuses in Lake County, IL. This position provides services to two to three schools, collaborating closely with educators and support teams to make a real impact on student achievement. With a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week split across two to three days, you’ll have the chance to work with diverse learners and contribute to supportive educational environments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the State of Illinois and registered with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
  • At least three years of experience delivering OT services in a school setting, supporting students’ access and participation in educational activities
  • Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs), goal development, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and consultations for K-8th grade students at assigned campuses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting academic success, motor skills, sensory regulation, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEP goals and review student progress
  • Support staff through training, resources, and recommendations tailored to student needs
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations
