ProCare Therapy has an opening for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment in Richmond, Virginia, for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity allows an SLP to provide essential speech and language services to students across a variety of grade levels, with the potential to focus primarily on elementary-aged students. Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services for students in grades K-12 (potentially elementary-focused).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ communication goals.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation according to school and state requirements.
  • Support students across multiple school sites as assigned.
  • Manage an assigned caseload based on final district needs and student enrollment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and appropriate school-based credentials required.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team.
  • Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates needing support with state requirements.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred.
  • Experience providing services to students across elementary, middle, and/or high school populations beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), evaluations, and educational documentation preferred.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Full-time schedule based on school district hours, 37.5 hours per week
