Job Description
Make a real impact in early childhood education as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist focused on in-person service delivery. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding chance to work with a caseload of 50-55 young learners in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a vital role in helping students build foundational communication skills, all while enjoying a steady schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week throughout the academic year. The assignment runs from August to May (with the possibility of date changes).
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP state license and educator certificate required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with early childhood caseloads preferred
- Ability to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, patient, and adaptable to school-based environments
- Preference for fully onsite availability, though hybrid (at least 3 days onsite weekly) will be considered for qualified candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services to early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate progress records and documentation in compliance with state and school standards
- Supervise and support SLPA with delegated tasks
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
