Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting preschool and elementary students in a vibrant school setting. A valued Speech-Language Pathologist will be taking maternity leave beginning in December, and we are looking for a skilled professional to fill this impactful role.
Your expertise will help students reach their communication milestones by providing direct services, facilitating individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and conducting thorough eligibility assessments. You'll serve students in both preschool (PreK) and elementary (K-5) classrooms, collaborating with caring educators and families to foster each child's growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid license or eligibility for license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Idaho
- Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children (PreK-5)
- Comfortable facilitating IEP meetings and maintaining accurate, timely documentation
- Skilled in conducting assessments and determining student eligibility for services
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
What you'll do:
- Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students in PreK-5 grades
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations to determine eligibility for services
- Write, update, and facilitate IEP meetings, working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and reporting as required
- Support inclusion and student participation in classroom learning
